Jewelry Care Instructions
Resin Jewelry:

Scratches:
Resin is resilient, but daily wear during activities may lead to scratches. Avoid bumping your jewelry, and refrain from wearing it while sleeping or exercising. Some scratches can be addressed with sanding or an additional resin coat, but prevention is key.
Polishing:
Use a damp microfiber or silk cloth to polish your piece if scratches or cloudiness appear over time. Plastic polish like Novus #2 can renew the finish, and #1 adds a final shine. Periodically using #1 helps maintain the piece. #3 polish is likely unnecessary but won't harm if used.

Heat & Water:
Avoid extreme heat, as resin has a low melting point. Prolonged sunlight exposure may soften, cloud, or degrade the resin. While water-resistant, it's not waterproof; remove it during activities like showering or swimming, especially if containing metal to prevent tarnishing.

Chemicals:
Avoid aggressive chemicals; acetone is harmful to resin. Limit contact with hair spray, alcohol-based perfumes, cleaning solutions, and antibacterial products, as they may damage the resin. Skin oils can affect the surface, but mild dish soap can remove them. Clean before storing to maintain the new look.
Gemstone Jewelry:
Tarnish:
Our pieces include 925 sterling silver, which naturally tarnishes. Slow down tarnishing by storing jewelry in a sealed bag or box in a dry, dark, cool place. Avoid the bathroom due to dampness. Remove jewelry during activities like showering and applying lotions, perfumes, or hairspray. Clean metal parts with soapy warm water after wearing, then dry thoroughly before storing.
